Day one of vacation.

St. Pats 2011

Yeah yeah yeah this is almost 1 1/2 years ago...but it is on paper and I am happy!  A page all about our annual Pilgrimage to Columbia to celebrate St. Patrick's day Rolla style.  Problem is we have way too many kids between all of us and we have to find fun things to do during the day (besides drinking).  So off to the park we went...the kiddos loved it. Sadly I have no picture from the parties... but I am sure it involved some keg beer, fried food, boat races and lots of memories.

I used a scrapbook starting point from Shimelle... which made this layout come together easily.

Super-Saver Scrapbooking

I snuck away Saturday for a few hours to do some scrapbooking.  I took a super-saver scrapbooking class from my local store Scrapbook Generations.  You get three two-page layouts from the same collection. I tweaked mine a little bit to fit the pictures I had on hand.  Thanks SG for the quick layout!

Allison - 20 months

• A parrot (repeats everything, words, sounds)
• Using words more everyday (Trinity, milk, ball, dog, baby, shoes, bubbles, apple, please, thank you, more)
• Loves playing with baby dolls
• Loves the dress up shoes
• Stacking blocks
• Throwing balls (pretty good arm)
• Jumping
• Loves to jump into the pool from the edge
• Blowing bubbles in the water
• Sings Ashes Ashes (Ring Around the Rosy)
• Loves the water/lake
• Enjoys her life jacket (will bring it to you)
• Falls asleep every time on the boat
• Wants to do EVERYTHING her big sister is doing
• Great sleeper (8PM - 7AM)
• Great napper (12PM - 2PM)
• Loves fruit (strawberries, apple, raspberries, blueberries, banana)
• Loves eating vegetables straight from the garden
• Tough little girl (will fall down and just keep going, smashes spiders)
• Perfecting the art of throwing a fit
• Loves her daddy (wheres daddy? when she hears the basement door she runs screaming daddy daddy)

Bow and Arrow

Ashley asked Santa for a bow and arrow (Christmas 2010) and he did not deliver so David promised her one for good behavior.  Well finally by Fall 2011 she got one.  She's not a bad shot, she hits the target more times than not.

Ehhh that's how I feel about this layout...but it's done and all I need to do is add some journaling, probably what I just wrote above.  I used my Studio Calico June Kit So Cal.

Our Garden

Dave has two raised beds and the harvest is starting to come in like crazy.  We have already enjoyed broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, potatoes, zucchini, squash and lots and lots of strawberries.  We made strawberry jam earlier this year and canned some pickles this week.  The cucumbers are going to be crazy.  I hope all our family and friends like pickles because we are going to have lots!  Tonight I need to use up two eggplants....yum yum.  The tomatoes are getting close and I can't wait from some fresh pico de gallo!

The girls absolutely love to be with David in the garden.  They follow his every move and can't wait to eat it all fresh out of the garden.  What a great way to be introduced to vegetables.
