Hay!

 Wow it's been awhile since I sat down and completed an layout for our family books.  I have been working on finishing up our 2014 family vacation mini album. Allison took her Daddy to a dance and had a ball.  She talks about the Daddy Daughter dances all year long.

Hay and more hay.  We are in the middle of our second cutting this year so it seems only fitting that I did a page on last year, our first year. Now we just need to sell the bales!  It is nice to have the land next door for fun; riding four wheelers, hay rides, garden and orchard.  But the best part is we can make a little money off of it too!

More Layouts

 When I was at my local scrapbook store this weekend, I picked up this winter line by Echo Park with these frozen lake photos in mind.  I had a few hours yesterday and I quickly put this one together.  Seeing the lake all frozen over was really cool.  I think it had been at least 20 years since it had happened.  I wanted so bad to walk out into the middle of the channel but Dave wouldn't let me, probably for the best.  But how cool would that have been!

Another quick layout using a Studio Calico kit.  Allison is a lefty and it sometimes hard to teach her things being a righty.  David was showing her how to shoot his bb gun, the photo on the right was after a successful hit to a can.

Super Saver Layouts

This weekend I sneaked away to my local scrapbook store Scrapbook Generation to do their super saver layouts.  Then, the best part, I got to put photos to them Sunday afternoon.  I typically don't have photos from Valentines Day so pictures of my girls seemed perfect for these pages.

it's a beautiful life

Ahh I squeezed in a little time for myself last night and completed this page.  Scrapbook Generation made it easy since I used one of their kits, but i tweaked it a lot to work with my pictures.

It is a beautiful life, make sure to take time for yourself and enjoy!!!  I know our kids and homes can take over our lives but it is up to us to not let that happen.  That load of laundry was still there when I was done with this page and it didn't complain when I started folding it.  But I sure felt better folding once I did something to make me happy first!

Dreams

Another quick layout scraplifted from this layout by Jenn.  This one sat on my desk for awhile but I am glad it's done.  My last two layouts have been all Allison so I need to do a couple for Ashley now...all is fair in the sisters world.

This little girl fights bedtime...sometimes.  She is either tired and it is not problem or she is not tired and we fight her.  So this is what happens when she fights us....this used to happen quite a bit.

This little girl is sure a treat to have around.  I love her laugh and her hugs the most.  Love her to pieces!

Pony Rides

Another quick layout of Allison riding a pony at our church fundraiser Harvest Home.  I used my Studio Calico kit Far Far away and scrablifted this layout by Christine Palka. I don't frequent Studio Calico as much anymore since they have changed their structure (for the worse in my opinion) but I am glad their inspiration gallery gets projects done for me.

I couldn't do a layout about Ashley without one for my favorite two year old Allison.  Again I used a Scrapbook Generation super saver layout from the same class as Ashley's layout.

Shine On

Another quick layout last night before the Survivor Premier (does anyone besides me still watch this?).  I used my Studio Calico September kit Poet Society and scraplifited this awesome layout by Magdalena.

What a sweet photo of Allison and Liam, she loves that little boy and always wanted to help feed him when he was still a baby.

A really quick layout I did last night to use up my September Studio Calico kit Double Scoop.  I used the this Sunday sketch for inspiration.  I am ready for some new papers to play with... bring on my October kit!

Allison 2 years and 9 months

A snapshot of you right now:

• Otay is one of your favorite words
• Loves to dance (mostly jumping up and down)
• Loves to sing (ABCs, Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald)
• Struggling with potty training
• Sleeps through the night 8 PM -7AM (sometimes sneaking into Mom and Dads bed)
• Still napping one to two hours in the afternoon
• Rocks at puzzles (just started introducing traditional cut puzzles)
• Knows your ABCs, count to 15
• Loves the pool; swimming, jumping off the side, putting your face underwater
• Enjoys the lake; swimming, tubing, boat riding
• Wants to do gymnastics like Ashley (soon baby girl)

• Playing with baby dolls
• Riding a tricycle
• Wants to read the same Elmo book at bedtime "Wait for me"
• Sleeps with a blankie (not particular to one, we rotate threw about four)

• Parrot (repeats Ashley's words, actions, etc.)

• Loves babies (James, Liam and Emma)
• Always asking for milk (little bit of milk Mom)

Oh boy is this little girl a treat. We sure do love her to bunches.

I scrapbooked!

My Studio Calico July kit Valley High has left me a little uninspired.  So I started looking through the gallery and found this layout by Robyn Werlich and scraplifted it.  So maybe now I can get a few more layouts done with this kit before my August kit arrives.

Allison loves story time at Barnes & Nobel.  When Ashley is in school we go on most Friday mornings (looking forward to starting this back up soon).  They always have a theme and read two stories and have a craft.  We have got to meet Curious George, Corduroy and The Cat in the Hat.  Allison has not gotten up the courage to get a hug from any of them she just prefers to watch from a distance.

It wouldn't be fair to do a layout about Ashley on the four wheeler and not follow up with Allison.  This was the same day.  Allison got this battery powered four wheeler from Grandma and Grandpa Cowan for Christmas two years ago.  She loves to putt around on it!

Allison - 28 months

An all week layout from last week, a little one night then some more, tweek a little and finally done!  I used my Studio Calico March kit Neverland.

Since this layout features Allison I thought I would do a little update on her, its been awhile.

• Talking all the time and her vocabulary is awesome
• Calls Ashley "Ash E" no L sound
• If you ask her a question she will say ummm multiple times like she is trying to decide what to do
• Says please and thank you without too much prompting
• Will say bless you if you sneeze
• Loves working puzzles
• Loves books
• Always needs a bankE (blanket)
• Sleeping in a big girl bed
• Goes to bed with out a fight and pretty much stays in her bed all night
• Loves her milk
• Sings Old Mac Donald, Ring Around the Rosie
• Singing her ABCs but not all the way there yet
• Trying to count to 10
• Knows some colors, especially blue
• Not interested in potty training
• Champ at throwing fits, lays down and starts to pout
• If someone farts she will blame it on everyone (Daddy fart, Mommy fart, Trinity fart, Ashley fart)

All I know is this little girl has stole our hearts.  We love her to pieces.

Future Cowgirl?

A quick layout tonight using my Studio Calico February kit Front Row and this sketch by Allison Davis.  I am so excited to see that Allison Davis is bringing back her sketch weeks.  Her sketches are some of my favorites and I love to see all the variations she and other do with them.

Thunder sleet??? Every heard of it?  Well the big winter storm hit us last night and today.  All we got was freezing rain, no snow and thunder sleet.  Now I can say I have experienced thunder sleet, have you?  Both the girls schools were closed today so we had an ice day at home. But I just got an email that school is back on tomorrow, yeah!  Now the rest of Missouri got tons of snow, I guess we got lucky....this time.

Allison Joy 2 years old

• Loves her big sister to pieces and copies what ever Ashley is doing (you can see her look at Ashley and then repeat what she just did)
• Bugs her big sister to pieces
• Everything is mine (most annoying is the my mommy fighting between Ashley and Allison)
• Loves books, baby dolls, Lego Duplo blocks and tractors
• Starting to ask why when you tell her something (really already?????)
• Learning her colors (most things are blue)
• Still naps two hours in the afternoon
• Sleeping in her crib with the crib door open and the bedroom door closed
• Says please and thank you
• Seems to be left handed
• Loves milk and asks for it all the time
• Is demanding if you don't answer her right away (MOM!)
• Loves chocolate, candy, anything sweet
• Is a so so eater, loves fruit the most
• Has an awesome vocabulary
• Running, jumping, kicking, climbing, dancing
• Has the best belly laugh
• Attending daycare four days a week and hates drop off
• Entertaining the idea of potty training (she will go if you set her on the potty but is not to telling us she needs to go just yet)
• Loves to look at photos on my phone (can navigate through the gallery like a pro)

Most of all I love this little girl to pieces.  She can drive me crazy but I enjoy her more and more everyday.

Cousins

Another quick layout with my November Studio Calico kit Sock Hop with a scraplift of this great layout by Maggie Holmes.  These two little girls are so so close in age and when they get together there is lots of mine and pushing and shoving going on.  But Allison loves Hannah to death and is constantly asking about her and wants to see pictures on my phone.  Monkey see monkey do would have been a great title for this layout too.

 Another layout done for Ms. Allison's Baby Album....which I need to get back into and finish her 1st year up.  Ay yi yi the list of to dos is long!  I used some new MME that I picked up at my LSS not to long ago.
