Silver Dollar City

How is it that we live so so close to Silver Dollar City and we haven't been this year?  We need to get there in the next couple of weeks before the weather gets to cold.  The girls always love it.  I did this quick layout last night with my Studio Calico July kit Elmwood Park.

Basic Grey really made this layout easy, all I had to do was add a picture, tag and a few embelishments and I was done. Thanks Studio Calico for including this flannel suit paper in my September kit Central High.

Marlboro Man

A two night layout using this Basic Grey sketch and my Studio Calico September kit Central High.  This kit has stumped me....I have looked at it, pushed it around, looked at the gallery...and I just didn't get any inspiration from it.  Which is unusual for me.  But I love how this layout turned out!

4 wheeler

A quick layout last night because I actually had something I wanted to watch on TV.  Top Chef one of my favorite shows.  Is it just me or is there absolutely nothing on TV right now? I am ready for fall TV!  I scraplifted this layout by Magdalena and used my Studio Calico August kit Summer of '69.

Ashley 6 1/2 years

• 1st grader
• Daisy girl scout
• Reading (doing really really well)
• Hates math
• Ties her shoes
• Riding a two wheeler bicycle
• Monkey bars by herself
• Swimming (even starting to go under with out holding her nose)
• Loves tubing at the lake
• Showering in the morning (moving away from baths)
• Dresses herself (picks out her clothing)
• Loves to be read too
• Plays with her doll house
• Loves legos
• Is a great big sister (very helpful and plays with Allison)
• Great sous chef
• TV (Phineas and Ferb, Wizards of Waverly Place, Shake it up, Good Luck Charlie)
• Books (Magic Tree House, Flat Stanley)
• Games (Where's My Water, Shoot the Apple, Angry Bird)
• Favorite color is purple
• 48 lbs, just under 4 feet tall

Allison 22 months

• Running, climbing, hanging...active little girl
• Climbs out of the crib now so we opened the door on the side of her crib
• Struggles at bedtime, we sit outside her door until she's asleep so she will stay laying down
• Loves milk, applesauce, raisins (fruit kid)
• Stacking blocks
• Loves legos
• Points out Melmo (Elmo) in her books
• Loves to play with baby dolls
• Loves to color (left handed)
• Throws a ball
• Loves to wear her life jacket at the lake
• Swimming with a life jacket by herself
• Drinking from a big girl cup
• Brushes her teeth and spits (just like sissy)
• Tons and tons of words (Trinity, Ashlee, book, apple, horse, peease, thank you, fish, shoes, bubbles)
• Mine is her favorite word (not good at sharing)
• Biting (ugh)
• Mamma's girl
• Still not communicating with words enough, still whines and cries for things
• Hates drop off in the morning at school (they have to pry her off me)
• Wearing 24 month clothes, size 6 shoe, size 4 diaper
• Sleeps 8:30PM to 7AM, with a two hour nap

We are definitely on the edge of the terrible twos and Allison wears us thin sometimes.  BUT I still love her to pieces and miss her tons when she is away.
