Rainbow Trout
These scanned absolutely horrible because of the flowers. This layout is from the same Creating Keepsakes class as my last layout! They taught us how to make the flower are part of the class, we all had a ball stepping on the flower to flatten them out. Apparently I didn't smash enough because they come off the page a lot.
Dave bought a Groupon to Mountain Springs Trout Park in Highlandville, MO. So one Sunday after church we headed down there to catch some dinner. They gave the girls poles and some bait (raw chicken) and set them loose. We ended up catching four fish for a little over nine pounds. Ashley got the big catch of the day with an almost 5 pounder AND she caught it on Allison's Snoopy pole. All the other people (men) there were quite jealous. The trout baked up beautiful for dinner and everyone had a great day!

Future Cowgirl?
A quick layout tonight using my Studio Calico February kit Front Row and this sketch by Allison Davis. I am so excited to see that Allison Davis is bringing back her sketch weeks. Her sketches are some of my favorites and I love to see all the variations she and other do with them.
Thunder sleet??? Every heard of it? Well the big winter storm hit us last night and today. All we got was freezing rain, no snow and thunder sleet. Now I can say I have experienced thunder sleet, have you? Both the girls schools were closed today so we had an ice day at home. But I just got an email that school is back on tomorrow, yeah! Now the rest of Missouri got tons of snow, I guess we got lucky....this time.

Scrapbooking - Easter Egg Hunt
A quick layout with my Studio Calico February kit Front Row and a free Walgreen's collage....love those things! A cute and colorful layout of the community Easter Egg Hunt that we attended last year. Allison was not to sure about picking up eggs until she found the candy inside. It was a mess, the day was so warm that all the chocolate had melted.

Rutledge Wilson Farm
Another layout for the books. I used a Basic Grey sketch for inspiration and my Studio Calico January kit Block Party. I am not 100% happy with this layout but at this point I am just glad it is done. Funny too because Ashley was going to Rutledge-Wilson farm today as a field trip with her class.

Eckert's Apples
Two double page layouts in one night! Thanks Scrapbook Generation for your super saver classes!
Eckert's is an Illinois tradition. As a kid this place was the go to for school field trips, girl scout field trips and family outings. I can even remember going at night for bonfires. A lot has changed since I was a kid and a lot has stayed the same. You still ride the tractors out into the fields and pick your own, which is always fun! I wish there was some place similar to this in southwest Missouri!
Kaitlin's 4th Bday
A super quick layout because I used a super saver layout from Scrapbook Generations from a Saturday class. Sadly Kaitlin is now five, but it's done and in the books!

CoCo Keys
We have been busy busy around here so not much scrapbooking going on. I did manage to finish this layout last week (over multiple nights) of a trip early last year to the indoor water park in Kansas City. I used my Studio Calico January kit Block Party. The bottom layout is more square, it just scanned wonky.
Currently February
