More layouts

I did two layouts this past week and both used my April Studio Calico kit Spencers.  I used this Ellle's Studio sketch for inspiration for the one above and this Studio Calico sketch for the one below.  Lately the sketches have been really inspirational and have helped me get some layouts done quickly!  Now I am ready for my May kit!

Ashley at 7

• 1st grader
• Good student (all E, S+ and S's on her report cards)
• Great at reading (dare I say she is starting to love reading)
• Struggles with her handwriting but is getting better
• Gets in trouble a lot for talking at school (think sheets)
• Lost one bottom tooth
• Loves riding her bike (no training wheels!)
• Loves riding her 4-wheeler on the paths
• Is always jabbering
• Ask lots of questions (still)
• Loves to play games (Sorry, Monopoly, Go Fish, etc.)
• Wears glasses
• Bossy
• County Girl (as she has named herself)
• Loves to help in the garden
• Awesome eater (eating like crazy right now)
• Favorite Foods: Crab legs, Salmon, Fish
• Favorite Color: Purple
• Awesome big sister

I love that she still loves to cuddle and snuggle up to me. I know this won't last forever so I make sure to stop and soak it in.  It is amazing to watch this little girl grow and spread her wings.  We love you lots Ashley!

Ashley and Aidan

The month of March is over and so is my one month to document Project Life style.  After tackling this project just one month a year I know why I can't commit to a whole year.  I love the concept but it does take time.  If the rainy weather passes I will take some photos of my spreads to share here.

But now I can scrapbook layouts again!  I used my Studio Calico Spencer's April kit and this sketch by Allison Davis.  Once I started this layout came together real fast, I love all the colors in this kit and layout!

Planing:  A lake trip to pick up Trinity from my parents (we miss her)

Bagnell Dam Scrapbook Page

I needed to use my March Studio Calico Neverland kit so I pushed it around for awhile and finally came up with this layout.  I used this layout for inspiration.  I haven't been doing many layouts lately and I miss it.  I have been working on documenting our month of March with the project life system.  I only do one month a year...now I know why :)

Looking at this layout here I think I am going to add some journaling about how Bagnell Dam powers St. Louis to pull in why I used the city skyscraper paper.

Allison - 28 months

An all week layout from last week, a little one night then some more, tweek a little and finally done!  I used my Studio Calico March kit Neverland.

Since this layout features Allison I thought I would do a little update on her, its been awhile.

• Talking all the time and her vocabulary is awesome
• Calls Ashley "Ash E" no L sound
• If you ask her a question she will say ummm multiple times like she is trying to decide what to do
• Says please and thank you without too much prompting
• Will say bless you if you sneeze
• Loves working puzzles
• Loves books
• Always needs a bankE (blanket)
• Sleeping in a big girl bed
• Goes to bed with out a fight and pretty much stays in her bed all night
• Loves her milk
• Sings Old Mac Donald, Ring Around the Rosie
• Singing her ABCs but not all the way there yet
• Trying to count to 10
• Knows some colors, especially blue
• Not interested in potty training
• Champ at throwing fits, lays down and starts to pout
• If someone farts she will blame it on everyone (Daddy fart, Mommy fart, Trinity fart, Ashley fart)

All I know is this little girl has stole our hearts.  We love her to pieces.

Watching: Argo and Flight (both great movies!)

Reading:  The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (I am 10 years late to this party, but someone recently recommended it and I figured why not, great read so far)

Listening:  David correcting Ashley for saying Mama and Dada for the millionth time

Making:  Project Life for the month of March!

Feeling:  Happy that Ashley's Girl Scout Troop sold all their extra cookies this weekend

Planing:  Spring Break at the end of the month!

Loving:  Thin Mints!
